Chargers' Hayden Hurst: Limited by ankle injury
Hayden Hurst, Chargers' tight end, was limited in practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Hurst was injured in the Chargers' Week 17 loss to the Denver Broncos. He finished the game with two receptions for 22 yards, but he was clearly hampered by the injury.
Hurst's status for the Chargers' Week 18 game against the Las Vegas Raiders is uncertain.
If Hurst is unable to play, the Chargers will be without one of their most reliable pass-catching options. Hurst has been a key part of the Chargers' offense this season, catching 52 passes for 577 yards and four touchdowns.
The Chargers are hoping that Hurst will be able to play in Week 18.
If he is unable to play, the Chargers will likely turn to Donald Parham Jr. or Tre' McKitty to fill his role. Parham Jr. has 18 catches for 209 yards and three touchdowns this season, while McKitty has 13 catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
